DIY Overnight Face Mask Ingredients

To make your homemade overnight facial mask, you’ll just need one ingredient – an aloe vera leaf!  I prefer using a fresh aloe vera leaf because I like to keep this mask as natural as possible.

Aloe vera is packed with skin beautifying vitamins like A, C and E. These vitamins help to add radiance and make your skin glow due to their antioxidant properties.

Aloe vera also contains enzymes, one of which is called bradykinase.  Bradykinase is an enzyme that helps to reduce inflammation when applied to the skin.  So if you have some pesky inflamed pimples, the aloe vera mask can help with that too!

Where To Buy Aloe Leaf

You can find loose aloe vera leaves in the produce aisle of some supermarkets.  You can also check your local health store, as some will carry them too.  These days aloe leaves can even be ordered online.

If you prefer to have a plant at home that you can source your aloe vera gel from whenever you like, then that is an option too.

DIY Overnight Face Mask Instructions

This is going to be the simplest face mask ever!

Step 1

Aloe leaf being cut with knife for a homemade aloe vera face mask

Cut a small piece of the aloe leaf.

Step 2

Cutting piece of aloe vera to make an aloe vera face mask for acne

Cut that piece in half (as shown above) to expose the gel inside.

Step 3

two pieces of aloe vera exposing the gel for and overnight acne mask

Poke some holes into the gel to make sure the liquid comes out.

Step 4

Now rub the liquid all over your face.  You can also apply it to your neck if you’d like (I always do!)

Step 5

Allow the liquid to dry on your face.  Once it is completely dry, you can go to bed!  You don’t have to wash it off until the morning.  Easy peasy, wouldn’t you say?

Easy Homemade Aloe Vera Facial Mask

Every time I use this mask, I swear I wake up with the softest, most radiant skin.  I love that it’s so quick and easy to apply, and you don’t have to mix anything!  Give it a try next time, and you’ll see what I mean!

I love adding an overnight beauty treatment to my skincare routine. It’s really great when you can wear a face mask at night to help beautify your skin while you sleep. This particular DIY mask is great if you have acne, or you just want to wake up with a radiant glow in the morning. The best part is, it literally just requires one main ingredient! Seriously, this is one of the best beauty tips you’ll receive this year! #facemask #overnightbeauty
